In the glaring public spotlight, a strong man is immobilised and reduced to tears. A child bears the brunt of the backlash against racism. Friendships are lost. Communities are divided.
So called ‘casual racism’ causes psychological distress and harm. We need to walk in each other’s shoes and reverse the scenarios to appreciate the very real psychological trauma of racism.
Everyone loses with racism.
